What are Metabolic Surgery Operations?

There are many surgeries with high metabolic efficiency in this group. Such as gastric bypass, duodenal switch, biliopancreatic diversion. However, since these surgeries involve serious small intestine bypass, they present us with new metabolic problems. Our aim is to have a strong metabolic effect without causing new metabolic problems. There are two surgeries that we call Pure Metabolic Surgery that offer this to us.
These surgeries are; ileal transposition and transit bipartition surgeries Both are pure metabolic surgery operations. And 10-year blood sugar control is over 90 percent. In both surgeries, long-term metabolic problems, anemia, vitamin and mineral deficiencies are less than other surgeries.
I prefer the Transit Bipartition surgery, which Brazilian doctor Sergio Santoro introduced to medical literature. The metabolic effects of both are similar. Transit bipartition surgery is more easily tolerated by patients.
